NEW YORK - A knife-wielding man climbed onto an MTA bus in Manhattan Thursday night and it was all caught on camera.

It happened on a Select Service bus in the East Village around 8 p.m.

The clip posted to Twitter shows the man stabbing the rubber section in the middle of the bus.

The same man later climbed onto the front of the bus and stabbed the roof with the knife.

A crowd formed on the street watching him.

The bus driver reached up and pulled the man off the bus to the ground.

A group of bystanders rushed over to help.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

There's no word yet on any charges he might face.
