NEW YORK - A woman in her 90s and her home attendant are in critical condition after a fire broke out Wednesday inside a Chinatown apartment building.

Flames broke out on the third floor of the building located at 113 Mott Street just before 1 p.m.

It took more than a hundred firefighters about 90 minutes to put out the fire.

The victims were taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital.

The Red Cross is assisting six families who were displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
