NEW YORK - One robber is on the loose and another in police custody after a wild chase on the Henry Hudson Parkway during the Friday morning rush. But sources tell NY1 it wasn't police chasing them - it was the victim.

The robbers allegedly stole the person's wallet at gunpoint in the Bronx.

Sources say the victim then pursued them to the parkway, where they crashed not far from the George Washington Bridge.

Sources say the alleged robbers fled their car and eventually jumped off the highway.

One of them was later found with a broken ankle, according to sources.

Sources say police are still searching for the other suspect.
