NEW YORK - Two men are facing charges accused of murdering a Connecticut man inside a Manhattan apartment and trying to get rid of his body.

Police say they found 26-year-old Joseph Comunale's body in a shallow grave in Oceanport, New Jersey.

They say he was stabbed 15 times in the chest.

Officials say 25-year-old James Rackover and 28-year-old Lawrence Dilion killed him and also tried to burn his body with gasoline.

Investigators say Comunale was last seen Sunday morning at Rackover's Manhattan apartment on East 59th Street in Sutton Place.

"We have blood on clothing, substantial. We also have bleach, what appears to be bleach on that clothing as well to cover up the blood," NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said. "So we're still up at that location, we've been up for the last couple of days. There is blood spatter in the apartment as well, not a lot, but there is some and it's quite noticeable, it's visible actually."

Both suspects face several charges, including murder and concealment of a human corpse.
