Nearly 100 protesters were arrested Thursday after a sit-in at Trump tower over the arrest of pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil.
Khalil remains detained in Louisiana until at least next week after being arrested by federal immigration authorities last weekend at his Columbia University apartment.
Additionallly, students who took over a campus building at Columbia during protests last year were suspended or expelled Thursday, the university announced.
