OHIO — The National Weather Service confirmed another tornado from storms that occurred on the night of April 2 into April 3, making it Ohio's 15th tornado of the year.
This tornado started in Franklin County, Indiana shortly after midnight on April 3 and continued into Butler County, Ohio. The tornado was rated an EF0 with estimated winds up to 85 mph.
It traveled for a little over 10 miles, according to NWS.
NWS said it observed tornadic damage near Sharptown, Indiana, where trees were uprooted or snapped. Damage continued northeast of the location, including minor damage to a church and homes along State Line Road, Hamilton Scipio Road and Cincinnati Brookville Road.
In northeast Butler County, there was tree damage and minor home damage along Hard Road. NWS said the tornado continued to damage trees along Dunwoody Road, as well as outbuildings on Sample Road south of Reily, Ohio. Power poles were also snapped in half.

Ohio remains below the number of tornadoes that Ohio saw in 2024 at this time.
Last year the state saw a record-breaking 74 tornadoes.
