A beautiful day ahead for Central Florida as high pressure moves in and high temperatures shoot up. We're expecting to find many spots in the upper 80s to lower 90s on Wednesday, with everyone feeling like the low to mid 90s when it comes to the heat index.
A lot of dry air aloft means lower rain chances. A stray shower or storm could bubble up in Sumter or Marion counties after 5 p.m. as the east coast sea breeze works it's way towards the Gulf coast, but outside that rain chance we can expect dry and sunny skies.
Wednesday night will be another mild one with lows in the upper 60s and plenty of clear skies to work with. This hot and sunny trend continues through the upcoming weekend.
Potential record warm lows and record warm highs could be set all across the Florida peninsula through Sunday.
By Monday our next front approaches the area, bringing showers and storms back to the region Monday night and Tuesday. Following the front, expect highs to fall back into the 70s and lower 80s.
