Some Subway riders in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn will have to figure out a new way to get around the city for a while.
As of today, the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road and Junius Street stations will be closed for about five months for renewal work.
Those stations are mainly part of the 3 train line, while the 4 train runs through them during late night hours.
It's part of an ongoing $88 million capital project to rehabilitate seven elevated stations along the New Lots Avenue line in Brownsville and East New York.
Improvements will include new lighting, platforms, and enhanced safety features.
Some of that work has already been completed.
The MTA will provide free shuttle buses for riders who need to get to these spots, with free shuttle buses between the Sutter Avenue and the Crown Heights-Utica Avenue station, as well between the Junius Street and Rockaway Avenue stations.
