Weng Sor held his head down with little expression throughout his arraignment Wednesday at Brooklyn Criminal Court.

Prosecutors contend he intended to hit people with a U-Haul truck Monday and that he wanted to “take out the enemies.”

The Brooklyn district attorney formally charged him with murder in the second degree and seven counts of attempted murder.

Sor did not enter a plea and his defense attorney asked that he undergo a mental evaluation and be put on suicide watch.

Surveillance video shows the U-Haul barreling down Bay Ridge streets Monday, striking bicyclists and pedestrians. Cops apprehended Sor in Red Hook near the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel.

Sor has a history of violent behavior and mental illness.

The 62-year-old has 8 prior arrests in Nevada, where he was living with his mother.

He served 17 months in Nevada State Prison for domestic battery in 2017 and almost a year for battery with a deadly weapon in 2020.

Police said his connection to Brooklyn is his estranged family near Bay Ridge.

They said he showed up at their home twice this month to shower and had a fight with his son, who cops say told them that his father was off his medication.

Police have not announced a motive for the attack.

YiJie Ye was a single father who had three children, and he moved here from China nearly two decades ago.

The GoFundMe says he was working for a delivery app when he was hit by the U-Haul.

Police maintain there is no connection to terrorism in this case.

Sor was locked up without the possibility of putting up bail.

His next court date is March 16.
