NEW YORK - Police in Brooklyn are investigating after shots were fired Tuesday morning, killing a 32-year-old man and hitting a school bus and an MTA bus. 

Investigators say the shots rang out around 8:45 a.m. near Pennsylvania and Dumont avenues in East New York.

Three people were on the school bus, including a 4-year-old, a driver and matron.

Another bullet struck a north-bound B20 MTA bus. 

No one on either bus was injured. 

The victim was an employee at nearby deli and lived across the street from the shooting. 

"He was the kind of kid that would give you his shirt off his back if he had to that's the type of individual he was, not an individuals that was involved in anything," said one witness at the scene.

"It could have been my kid, somebody else kid that's just crazy in broad daylight," said another witness.

Police are now looking into what led to the shooting. There have been no arrests.
