When New Yorkers have trouble getting to the dentist, there is a van that brings the dentist to them.

Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz partnered with NYU Dentistry’s Mobile Dental Van Program to bring a dental van to Brighton Beach on Wednesday. It’s an effort to make dental care more accessible to older adults in need.

Stationed outside the Shorefront Y, the dental van provided a range of services, from x-rays to oral cancer exams, and even routine cleanings.

All patients are eligible to be seen regardless of ability to pay. The NYU Dental Van has been providing services to school children for the past 20 years.
