All aboard! Transit enthusisasts took a treip back in time Sunday.

The New York Transit Museum brought its vintage fleet of buses to Brooklyn Bridge Park for its 26th annual Vintage Bus Fest.

Visitors got to step aboard buses that traveled the streets of New York as early as the 1930s.

Organizers told us some New Yorkers love sharing a piece of their past with younger generations.

"I actually over heard a granddad with his very small grandchild say to the grand son say 'Hey, do you want to see the bus that grandpa used to take to school;' and so, that's the kind of way we connect at the transit museum. It's a way to sort of link generations," said  Concetta Bencivenga - Director, New York Transit Museum.
