Kids got a lesson Thursday on how to look their best from someone they look up to.

Beauty guru and drag queen, Cholula Lemon, hosted a makeup tutorial for teens at the Cortelyou Library.

The 12 to 18 year olds learned how to apply eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and even lashes.

The program is part of the library's “Change Agents” initiative which aims to provide a safe space for kids and young adults to express their gender however they like, while being guided by a positive role model.

"I think it's amazing. I think that they are the best people to learn how to do makeup from; they're beautiful and I believe on teaching her to accept everybody and inclusion," said Parent Megan Lane.

The workshop is an extension of the library's Drag Queen Story Hour Program.
