A Tennis center in Brooklyn is swinging its focus on helping the planet in honor of Earth Day.
Court 16 in Gowanus celebrated by providing eco-friendly activities Sunday.
Kids got to color and make cardboard bracelets.
Parents were asked to bring their old cell phones so they could be re-recycled.
Of course the event included tennis and everyone attending got to play for free.
"At court 16 what we try to do is bring the community together and engage them in a meaningful conversation so today we took advantage of having Earth Day to bring everyone together to have some creators in the community who do things in a very smart and sustainable way,” said Anthony Evrard with Court 16.
Court 16 has a center in Queens as well.
Organizers hope to add their Long Island City location to the celebration next year.
