You might expect a minature golf course to offer patrons a good time but there's one in Brooklyn that's helping the community in a big way.
The pirate themed minigolf course called Shipwrecked is in Red Hook and regularly holds fundraisers to help community organizations.
On Monday, they helped collect funds for the non-profit 826 NYC.
The after-school program helps foster students skills for creative and non-fiction writing.
The course's owners have a background in the arts themselves and have experience in theater set and sound design.
Still, they say they're willing to help other organizations in the same way.
"If you're a nonprofit, school , a group or whatever you can contact us and we have a place where you can have a fundraiser here and help donate towards the cause," said owner Ryan Powers.
The venue is indoors and as a business will be celebrating is 2nd year in business in April.
