Four children were injured Friday after a school bus flipped over in Brooklyn.

The New York City Fire Department responded to the scene at Fourth Avenue and First Street in Park Slope around 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The bus flipped over after being hit by a car at the intersection.

Officials say one adult and four children were removed from the bus with minor injuries.

"The kids got out OK. They were being escorted out of the emergency exit. They were lined up on that side over there, and you know, we were trying to make them stay calm of course because they were crying," said one witness. "One of them appeared to be shook up. I think he had a bump on the head. But other than that, they looked OK. There was no bleeding, no cuts or anything like that," said another.

The driver of the car stayed on the scene.
