A retired bus driver from Brooklyn is now a multi-millionaire after winning the top prize in a lottery game.
Frederick McClendon is now $7 million richer after he bought the winning ticket in the Cash4Life game.
He purchased the $2 ticket on November 24 from the MX Wines and Spirits store on Halsey Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
New York Lottery spokeswoman Yolanda Vega spoke with McClendon about his newfound fortune during a news conference Tuesday.
"The agent told me that someone won it. She printed out a ticket. I compared it to mine and the numbers was right," he said.
McClendon will receive his prize in one lump sum payment more than $4,300,000 after taxes.
