Investigators in the Heidi Allen case are back at the site of a collapsed cabin in Oswego County. They've been monitoring the area since discovering the cabin Sunday night. The cabin is in an area off Rice Road in Mexico.

The search team includes members of the Sheriff's Department and Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office, as well as the Oswego County district attorney.

18-year-old Heidi Allen disappeared Easter morning in 1994. Two brothers, Gary and Richard Thibodeau were charged with first degree kidnapping in connection with the case. Richard was acquitted, Gary was convicted and is serving 25 years to life.

Officials with the Sheriff's and District Attorney's offices are investigating claims that Allen's body may have been hidden under the floorboards of the cabin by someone other than Gary Thibodeau, the man currently serving 25 years to life in prison.

A cadaver dog has been leading investigators, according to Lisa Peebles, Thibodeau's attorney.

Peebles said the dog alerted authorities Monday during the search, although it's not clear what, if anything was found.

The district attorney said authorities will thoroughly investigate the newest tips in the case.
