Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is at the center of an ongoing divide within the Democratic Party over how to push back against the Trump administration.

Last week, Schumer helped Republicans pass a spending bill that averted a government shutdown. Now, some Democrats are calling for him to step down from his leadership role, arguing Schumer squandered his leverage and caved to the Trump administration.

Shannon Stagman, co-lead organizer of Empire State Indivisible — a grassroots progressive organization calling for new Democratic leadership in the Senate — joined “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss her organization’s vision for the party.
