TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida House democratic leader Fentrice Driskell and students from Florida State University will hold a news conference about the deadly shooting on campus last week.
House Minority Leader Driskell, who is from Tampa, will join students at 11 a.m. to talk about gun violence and ways to make all campuses and communities safer across the state.

The conference will happen at the state capitol building.
Later Tuesday, athletic events will resume as the Seminoles baseball team takes the field. There will be a moment of silence before the 5 p.m. game.
Before first pitch, there will also be a period of reflection with FSU faculty, staff and students on the field.
A doctor from Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, where victims were treated, will throw the first pitch.
First responders will also be honored during the fourth inning.
All school activities have been on hold since two people were killed last Thursday when an FSU student opened fire on campus and several other people were hurt.
Students were given the option to go back to class remotely yesterday and mandatory attendance was waived for this week.
