HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu has expanded services at the Kapahulu road test site enabling drivers who pass their road tests at the Kapahulu site to also complete their paperwork for a driver’s license.
Previously, drivers who passed their road test at the Kapahulu location would have to do their paperwork at the Sheridan Road Test Office. The Sheridan site was permanently closed on Dec. 29.
“The newly upgraded road test operation at Kapahulu is the latest example of our renewed focus on providing services that exceed expectations,” said Kim Hashiro in a news release. Hashiro is director of the city’s Department of Customer Services, which administers more than 60,000 road tests annually across Oahu.
Applicants can book appointments up to six months in advance, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the Kapahulu location (1112 Kapahulu Ave.). The office is closed on state holidays.
For the time being, only cash or checks are accepted for payment at the Kapahulu location.
