Christmas came early for thousands of kids in the Bronx.

Yankee Stadium looked more like the North Pole on Friday for the team’s annual winter wonderland celebration. Besides the holiday decorations, festive music, food and caroling, there were plenty of presents for local children. They got to take their pick from 8,000 gifts donated by Walmart. For many though, the gifts weren't their top priority.

One child said, more importantly "you get to spend time with your family. You get to have fun. And all about Christmas is to just have fun with your family and to be grateful you have a family."

The giving doesn't stop there. The Yankees will hold their annual food drive Wednesday, December 18th from 9:30am to 3:00pm at Gate 2.
