CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Krispy Kreme is unveiling to the public its “first comprehensive shop redesign in more than a decade,” at its new Concord location this Tuesday.

The new location is one of 45 new stores that are opening up across the United States through 2020. The Winston-Salem-headquartered company recently opened its Global Product & Innovation Center in Charlotte’s South End.

 

 

“This new shop experience honors the heritage of Krispy Kreme while at the same time acknowledging and addressing the rising expectations of our customers. From our time-tested process of producing the world’s most loved doughnuts to our new Original Glazed Doughnut infused ice cream, we’re very excited for what the future holds,” said Andy Skehan, President, North America, Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, in a statement.

The new, expanded menu at the Concord location include Scoop Sandwiches (Krispy Kreme’s take on an ice cream sandwich), Hand-spun milkshakes with Original Glazed Doughnut-infused ice cream and the ability to customize doughnuts with a combination of five different glazes, 10 toppings and five drizzle flavors, available in three-packs and half-dozen options.

The location will also have a doughnut theater experience so customers can check out the full doughnut making process. Services will include online ordering, delivery, self-service pickup, parking for mobile order pickup and two drive-thru lanes with digital confirmations.

The new shop will be open Sunday-Thusday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
