At least one person has been arrested following a deadly car crash in the Bronx Sunday night.

Investigators say the driver of a black BMW, identified as Collin Hedley, 24, of the Bronx sideswiped an SUV on Jerome Avenue near 233rd Street in Woodlawn around 9:30 p.m.

The BMW then crashed into a Toyota sedan.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as Ramon Monteagudo, 59, of the Bronx died at the hospital.

The SUV driver suffered minor injuries.

Police say Hedley and his passenger ran away from the scene.

Investigators say he returned to the scene some time later, where he was placed under arrest. 

He has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, criminal possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
