Families took to the street for some fun and entertainment in the Bronx.
Hundreds turned out for the 2018 South Bronx Culture Trail Festival in Longwood Saturday.
The event was organized by the Casita Maria Center For Arts and Education and the Bronx Music Heritage Center.
People were able to dance in the street to live music from a variety of bands, check out vendors and eat.
Organizers say that the event is meant to celebrate the communities diversity.
"We can let the larger Bronx community know, and New York City community, and the world know that there is many great things going on here in the Bronx, so many great people; there is so many talented people here and the cultures are so rich," said Josie Gonzalez.
The festival kicks off a month of events throughout the community.
