A breakdancing legend from the Bronx receives a special honor.
Richard "Crazy Legs" Colon is the recipient of the first ever Ronald McDonald House Charities Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the world of breakdance and his humanitarian work.
Colon is currently spearheading a movement called Puerto Rock Steady, which aims to revitalize the economy and education system in Puerto Rico.
He received his honor before Saturday's McDonald's B-Boy Royale, the city's largest annual breakdancing competition.
"I think the greatest thing is that they chose to create an award that recognizes B-Boys and B-Girls for theit charitable contributions as well as community work,"
"Breaking has given me the ability to harness my own inner powers to excel in every aspect of my life, not just with dance."
The winner of the competition is a four-year-old dance crew called "Beast Coast."
They took home the grand prize of $5,000.
Proceeds from the event will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
