Choosing which restaurant to dine out at in the Hudson Valley can sometimes feel like coming to a crossroads. One restaurant that embodies that is Another Fork in the Road in the Red Hook region.

"Since this past Mother's Day, we've been open for six years. For its entire history since the late 40s, it's been a restaurant. Another fork in the road comes from the giant fork in the road located about two miles west of here. And originally this is also known as Another Roadside attraction, so it's kind of a combination of those two items," said Jamie Perry, the owner and head chef.

From risotto to lamb to salmon and everything in between, the eclectic new American menu will tantalize your taste buds.

"Beautiful Hudson Valley cuisine, interesting beers, delicious small producer wines, handmade sodas. Always vegetable forward, always changing menu. Fresh, good local produce and meats -- interesting food. A good friend came up with the catchphrase 'come eat something you've never had before.' Everything is as local as we humanly can," said Perry.

With a constantly changing specials and menus, there are some staples that the chef recommends.

"I would always go for the small plate vegetables. I think that's just really where we shine. I think our pasta dishes are always interesting," said Perry.

The owners and staff keep their hopes for your experience very simple.

"Just a bit of Joieux de Vivre. The joy of what the bounty of the Hudson Valley is," said Perry.
