OHIO — The National Weather Service confirmed another tornado from the April 3 storms, raising Ohio's total for the year to 14.
The tornado tracked from Warren County into Montgomery County and was ranked an EF0 with peak winds of 80 mph.
It traveled approximately three miles and left behind a 200-yard-wide path.
NWS said the tornado touched down just east of State Route 48 and north of E. Lytle 5 Points Road where extensive tree damage was observed in the Winding Creek neighborhood.
There were several homes that had minor siding damage.
Large trees were uprooted and damaged to the northeast sporadically beyond the Warren/Montgomery County line along part of East Social Row Road east of Mount Holly Avenue.
Through the storm survey, damage was also seen near/along Nutt Road and Clyo Road to the northeast.
In southwestern Greene county, some isolated tree damage is believed to have been straight-line as NWS said it is believed the tornado lifted before crossing into a third county.
Ohio remains below the number of tornadoes that Ohio saw in 2024 at this time.
Last year the state saw a record-breaking 74 tornadoes.
