A soggy and stormy weekend is forecast in New York City, with rain, thunderstorms and the possibility of localized flooding across the five boroughs.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from Saturday night to Sunday night.

Because of the potential of intense rainfall, the city's Office of Emergency Management has issued a travel advisory for Sunday.

On Sunday, heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected. Temperatures will be in the 80s but will fall back into the 70s through the day.

The best chance for showers or thunderstorms Sunday will be early in the evening, with drier weather expected during the overnight hours. Lows will be in the 70s.
