You may remember October 2021 as a month filled with unseasonable warmth and many really nice fall days. In fact, there were more than 20 days when the high temperature was above average.

October had 14 days with highs in the 70s–just about half the month! There were many days with highs in the upper 70s, including four days with a high of 79.

There was even a stretch of 11 consecutive days with a temperature of 70 or higher. That streak was finally broken on Oct. 17 when temperatures dropped to more seasonable levels with highs in the 50s.

To put this into perspective, October 2020 only had 4 days with highs in the 70s or higher.

The end of October 2021 was cooler, more seasonable and unsettled at times with highs in the 50s to near 60.

We shall see what’s in store for the month of November. Right now, it looks like the month will start off on a seasonably cool or below-average note.
