It's another week, another smattering of snow in New York City.

New Yorkers can expect 1 to 3 inches of snow, along with some sleet, overnight into Saturday morning.

THE TIMELINE FOR THE SNOW

The forecast for the city has turned colder, so the storm will feature more snow than sleet. Some of the steadiest snow is projected to hit northwest of the five boroughs.

The snow will begin around 1 a.m. Saturday. As the precipitation increases, it should become only snow and wrap up by 10 a.m.

The National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon Saturday.

Alternate-side parking will be suspended Saturday.

HOW COLD WILL IT BE?

Temperatures were 34 on Friday night, with wind chills in the 20s.

Expect a high of 41 on Saturday with some light rain and snow. The projected high Sunday will be 40.

Tuesday through Thursday will be mostly dry, but highs will be around 30 degrees.

AN UNCERTAIN STORM SUNDAY

A potentially more significant storm could hit New York City on Sunday night into Monday morning. But, as of this writing, it's unclear how much snow it will bring. Some weather models project the storm turning into rain Sunday evening, while others call for only snow.

Projected snowfall totals for the clashing weather models range from about 3 inches for some and upwards of 9 inches for others.

The snow is expected to start after 5 p.m. Sunday.
