NATIONWIDE — A popular fast food chain is testing out something new — family-style.

Chick-fil-A’s "family-style meals" will be piloted in Phoenix, Arizona, San Antonio, Texas, and Greensboro, North Carolina.

The meal will include an entree, two sides and eight mini rolls, and is aimed to feed four for $29.99.

Side choices include bacon baked beans, mac and cheese and/or a side salad.

The Atlanta-based chain said the demand for take-out meals prompted this trial run.

If the response is positive, restaurants nationwide will likely begin carrying.

Competitor KFC has offered a version of a family meal via its bucket of chicken for quite some time.
