More bad news for R train riders — starting today, the MTA is temporarily closing down the Bay Ridge Avenue station in Brooklyn.
Service in both directions will be suspended for six months while the station is upgraded.
During the closure, straphangers can take the B9, B37, or B63 buses to the 59th or 77th street stations.
It's the second of three stations along Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn to close for repairs.
53rd street station started undergoing reconstruction last month.
The Prospect Avenue station is slated to close down on June 5.
The MTA is spending $72 million on renovating the three stations.
