JACKSONVILLE, N.C. --It's been one year since the unsolved murder of two Onslow County teen brothers.

Loved ones reported 16-year-old Tyler Gilbert and 19-year-old DeAndre Gilbert missing back on May 15, 2016.

Three days later, authorities found the pair shot to death, execution-style, on a dirt road in the Maple Hill Community.

Their vehicle sat burned nearby.

Now, Gov. Roy Cooper's office announces the state is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest.

"I would encourage any citizen to put themselves in the shoes of those victims and please provide that information to us, and if that info provides good additional investigative leads, that's what we want," said Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller.

So far, two people have been arrested over the course of the investigation but no one has yet been charged with the murders.
