The Trump administration followed through on promises to pull back on federal funding allocated to cover some of the cost to house migrants in the city.

City leaders say they noticed $80 million, previously allocated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, was suddenly missing from city bank accounts this week.

This revocation of money poses questions about executive power and the financial relationship the city has with Washington D.C.
