Thanksgiving is just over a week away, and many Americans are already getting ready. But while the centerpiece of many holiday tables is the turkey, a new book calls into question the traditional Thanksgiving menu, as well as the ethics behind the meal’s main attraction.

It’s called, “Consider the Turkey,” by Peter Singer, whom The New Yorker has called “the world’s most influential living philosopher.” Singer joined “The Rush Hour” on Tuesday to discuss the book.
