For the first time, Brooklyn is hosting the North Face Climb Festival, which features some of the world’s top climbers.

The two-day event kicked off Friday at Pier 5 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Spectators can watch as world class climbers ascend a 55-foot-wall suspended over the water.

The festivities also include panel discussions, food trucks and live DJ performances. Among those competing is Olympic silver medalist and a four-time U.S. national bouldering champion, Nathaniel Coleman.

Coleman joined “The Rush Hour” Friday to talk about the festival.
