A large crowd of migrants from Africa gathered in lower Manhattan on Tuesday, calling on the city to do more for them.
They were joined by some local lawmakers who criticized the lack of services being offered to new arrivals.
It came as the City Council held a hearing on the experiences of Black migrants arriving in the city.
Adama Bah, helped organize the rally and has spent the last two years supporting new arrivals, as the founder of Afrikana, an organization that helps immigrants get their footing in this country.
Bah joined “The Rush Hour” on Thursday to talk more about the work she is doing.
