It has been almost exactly four years since the pandemic shut down the city and the country. Since the dark days of the pandemic that followed, New York has been clawing its way back.

During Mayor Eric Adams’ State of the City speech, he said, “Two years in, we are seeing real results. Crime is down, jobs are up and every day we are delivering for working‑class New Yorkers.”
