More than 80% of New York City families cannot afford full-time child care, according to a new report by the think tank 5Boro Institute.
The study finds the growing child care affordability crisis is driving young families to leave the city. This comes as more providers are shutting down.
Grace Rauh, the co-author of the report and executive director of 5Boro, joined “The Rush Hour” on Wednesday to talk more about the findings.
