CARSON, Calif. — The LA Galaxy will host the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, and a coveted spot in the MLS Cup Final is on the line.
In a season defined by a remarkable turnaround, the Galaxy defied expectations, powered by young stars like Jalen Neal, who is determined to bring the glory back to Carson.
“It’s unbelievable,” Neal said. “Coming from someone who’s been a fan of this team their whole life, it’s a dream.”
For Neal, this isn’t just another playoff game. It’s the culmination of a journey that began in the stands of Dignity Health Sports Park as a boy from nearby Lakewood, dreaming of one day wearing the Galaxy’s blue and gold.
Now 21, Neal will take the field Saturday night with a chance to help secure the team’s first MLS Cup appearance since 2014.
“To be a part of the ones who won a championship here, you know, that kind of separates you from the rest,” Neal said.
The match kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday at Dignity Health Sports Park, and all eyes will be on Neal and the Galaxy as they fight for their return to the MLS Cup Final.
