Fans we spoke with in the Bronx are confident the Yankees can see their way clear to the World Series.
Back in 2015, the Yankees struggled against Houston in the American League Wildcard game.
This time, fans said New York has the material to come out on top.
"You could argue that the Astros have the better starting pitching with Keiko and Verlander, but as we all know, the Yankees bullpen is almost unstoppable, so if that can come into play, I think that the Yankees can do it," said Yankees Blogger Bullpen Betty.
"People doubted us against Cleveland, but see what happened, they won the series. So I believe in them," said Yankees Fan Leo Guillen.
"It's alright, let em try their luck. We're better than them. New York don't lose!" said another Yankees Fan Rob Troublemaker.
The Yanks performance has even impressed Mayor de Blasio, a noted Red Sox fan.
In a tweet, he said the Yanks are a "damn fine team" and wishes them luck in the "Chase for 28."
