Gov. Kathy Hochul took the Democratic National Convention stage Monday night during primetime.

She told fellow Democrats that she’s all in for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz.

Arguing her values — and those of New Yorkers — are against their Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump.

“Hello Chicago! Are you ready to elect Kamala Harris President of the United States?” the New York governor said after entering the stage.

Just day one in Chicago, and Hochul said she grew up with the same values as the Democratic ticket.

“I’m proud of my roots and the values I learned: grit, determination, compassion. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz grew up with those same values,” she said.

Hochul used her platform to push back against the Republican ticket and former New Yorker Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump was born a New Yorker but ended up a fraud, a philanderer and a felon. He wasn’t raised with the New York values I know,” she declared. “So it’s no wonder he had to flee to Mar-a-Lago. Sorry about that, Florida.”

Hochul addressed Democrats before her longtime ally: keynote speaker President Joe Biden — whom she personally thanked for bringing economic developments like the Micron CHIP factory in upstate New York.

“Look no further than the city of Syracuse, New York, where a company called Micron is building a $100 billion microchip factory with union labor,” she pointed out.

Speaking for approximately five minutes, she drew cheers.

“The Biden-Harris administration has made the most significant investments in our economy in generations. And as president, Kamala Harris will continue to build an opportunity economy for all,” Hochul said.

Earlier in the day, the moderate Democrat encouraged New York delegates at a breakfast meeting to make flipping GOP-held seats their mission.

“Let’s get to the other counties, let’s adopt each other — that’s what you do in a loving family, right? A loving family you adopt, you build your family, you enlarge your family. That’s what I’m asking New York Democrats to do,” she said.

Hochul also recalled a trip Harris took to her hometown Buffalo, after the 2022 massacre of Black New Yorkers shopping in a grocery store.

“Kamala Harris came and sat next to me in that church,” she said. “She went up front in the church, poured her heart out with such empathy, and such love and compassion.”

Hochul is expected to remain in Chicago until Thursday, which is when Harris is scheduled to address the convention.
