NY1’s political team will begin special live coverage of the primary election when the polls close Tuesday night.

In the city, there are a total of three congressional primaries, and several primaries for state Senate and Assembly. There are also a few judicial races, as well as races to become a Democratic district leader or a delegate to the party’s judicial convention.

Aside from a Republican primary for state Assembly in Queens, all other primaries are Democratic races. There are no primaries for voters on Staten Island.

The coverage starts at 8:45 p.m. and will last until approximately 11 p.m.

NY1 will open its website and app for viewers to watch the live coverage. For Spectrum nonsubscribers, download the Spectrum News app, available to Android and iPhone users, then tap “Live” on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen to view the coverage.
