Thursday FBI agents searched two homes owned by Greco in the Bronx. NY1 has learned Greco was taken to a hospital in an ambulance as FBI agents searched her home. She’s currently on medical leave from her role in City Hall.

Federal agents also raided the New World Mall in Queens Thursday. Adams held several campaign fundraisers inside the mall during his run for mayor.

The city’s Department of Investigation opened a probe into Greco’s actions last year after reports emerged in the news outlet The City, raising questions about her fundraising tactics and whether she used her City Hall position to get renovation work done on her home.

During an interview on NY1 Adams was asked about the investigation, the Mayor responding “those who are doing reviews of any actions that may be perceived to be incorrect, they’re going to do their job.”

A City Hall spokesperson told NY1, their staffers adhere to strict ethical guidelines. Adams said on NY1, “I’ve been very clear, follow the rules. Follow the law, follow the rules. I said it throughout my entire law enforcement career, and I’ve said it in my public life as well.”
