U.S. Rep. Pat Ryan from the Hudson Valley is launching a hail mary to get the National Football League and NBC to broadcast Saturday’s matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins on the network rather than on their streaming service.

In a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NBC Sports President Rick Cordella, the Democratic congressman called the broadcast plan a “disgrace” and a “rip-off.”

Ryan argues in the letter that the game should be broadcast on broadcast television.

The game will be available on broadcast television for fans who live in the local television market of the two teams (Miami and Kansas City). However, fans looking to watch that don’t live in the respective metro areas will have to subscribe to Peacock to watch the game.

NBC Sports and the NFL did not respond before publication.
