'Good Night, and Good Luck'

Hollywood A-lister George Clooney is tackling Broadway for the first time in the film-to-stage adaptation of his “Good Night, and Good Luck" at the Winter Garden Theatre. The show is based on the 2005 film written by Clooney and his longtime collaborator Grant Heslov. On-screen and on-stage broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow goes face-to face with Sen. Joseph McCarthy as McCarthyism — a campaign to root out suspected communists — grips America in the 1950s. Clooney played CBS TV producer Fred Friendly in the film; for the Broadway adaptation, he’s playing Murrow.

And to see Frank DiLella's conversation with Clooney, tune into "On Stage" this weekend at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

The musical stars two of DiLella's favorites, Matt Rodin and Elizabeth Stanley. The show is directed by Jonathan Silverstein and features movement by Patrick McCollum. "All the World’s a Stage" is playing at Theatre Five on Theatre Row. For more information go to Keen Company's website.
