With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. "On Stage" host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, Off-Broadway and beyond.
"The Hills of California"
Tony-winners Sam Mendes and Jez Butterworth — the duo behind the hit 2018 play "THE FERRYMAN" — have teamed up again to bring “The Hills of California” to The Main Stem. Direct from a celebrated run in London, the play centers around the Webb sisters and their return to visit their ailing mother. “The Hills of California” will play its final performance on Dec. 22.
"THE ROOMMATE"
In this new play by Jen Silverman, entertainment legends Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone return to the stage taking on the roles of Sharon and Robyn — two women from vastly different backgrounds who come together under one roof. "The Roommate" will play its final performance on Dec. 15.
"The Big Gay Jamboree"
On the off-Broadway front, don’t miss “The Big Gay Jamboree” before it shutters on Dec. 15. The show was co-created and stars musical comedy sensation Marla Mindelle as Stacey… a woman trapped inside a Golden Age musical – and who must use her BFA in musical theater to escape.

“White Christmas”
Over the Hudson and just a short ride on New Jersey Transit, check out Irving Berlin's "White Christmas," now playing at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Based on the classic 1954 holiday film, "White Christmas" features a glorious score, including tunes like "Blue Skies," "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," and, of course, the title song.
