With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, Off-Broadway and beyond.

“Appropriate”

Emmy Award-winner Sarah Paulson returns to the New York stage in the Broadway premiere of “Appropriate.” The show tells the story of the estranged Lafayette siblings, drawn together after the death of their father to grieve and clear out his crumbling, old plantation home. But the reunion opens old wounds and exposes buried secrets. “Appropriate” is being presented by Second Stage at The Hayes Theatre.

“Buena Vista Social Club”

On the Off-Broadway front, don’t miss “Buena Vista Social Club” playing at The Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater. Inspired by the Grammy Award-winning album of the same name, “Buena Vista Social Club” centers around a group of musicians from Havana who rocked the world of Cuban music. For more information, head to atlantictheater.org.

“Christmas Time in the City”

On Thursday, be sure to check out “Christmas Time in the City” at The Church of St. Paul The Apostle at Columbus Circle. The holiday concert will feature some of Broadway’s best, including Elizabeth Stanley, Kerry Butler, Nikki Renee Daniels and Max von Essen, and all backed by a 20 piece orchestra, plus a 70 person choir.
