With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.

“Here We Are”

The new musical “Here We Are,” which marks Stephen Sondheim’s final work before his passing, is now in previews at The Shed. The show is inspired by the films “The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie” and “The Exterminating Angel.”

The musical features an all-star cast including David Hyde Pierce, Bobby Cannavale, Denis O’Hare, Micaela Diamond and more.

“Job”

Sticking with off-Broadway but moving further downtown, don’t miss “Job” currently playing at SoHo Playhouse. The show centers around Jane, who gets placed on leave from her big tech job after becoming the subject of a viral video.

At play’s start, Jane is with her crisis therapist Lloyd, who is trying to help her. The show features “Succession” actors Peter Friedman and Sydney Lemmon. “Job” is playing through Oct. 15.

In the show, expect to hear some of Alice’s notable tunes from her illustrious career, songs from “Les Miserables,” “Side Show” and “Next to Normal.”  Broadway piano man John McDaniel serves as musical director.
